Casa de la Jota

T he Jaredian Design Group has extensive experience in the design and construction industry in the Virgin Islands, particularly in the areas of residential, government work to historic preservation. This has included projects of a wide range of construction type and size. Our project references and current projects outline the collective scope of the experience of the Jaredian Design Group. The Jaredian Design Group designed “Casa de la Jota” for Attorney and Mrs. Norman Jones in 2004. The site presented challenges, as the natural slope faced an un-appeasing view. Working with the Owner, a plan was developed to have the residence face the primary view towards British Virgin Islands and St. John, to the east. This required siting the house to be placed contrary to the natural slope of the land. While substantial earth-work and site walls were required, the finished house with its Mediterranean styling: wine cellar, cigar room, sauna and gymnasium, hot tubs, infinity pool fit well into the landscape. “Casa de la Jota” was featured for its beautiful design in a Virgin Islands’ magazine, Tradewinds.
