Virgin Islands Territorial Management Agency Headquarters, St. Thomas

image

T he Jaredian Design Group was the primary architect on the renovation and conversion of an existing warehouse into the new headquarters for the Virgin Islands Territorial Emergency Management Agency (VITEMA) in St. Thomas. The initial 6,000 square feet building was upgraded to include 15,000 square feet of improved space on four different levels. This facility will be the headquarters for newly, the organized Emergency Management Agencies in the Territory. These include: 911 Call Center, Emergency Operations Center, Secured Communication Room, and work spaces for over fifty employees. This project was accomplished under the construction management contractor approach due to a stringent schedule established the Virgin Islands Government for the completion of the 911 Call Center. The work, on a design-build schedule, was successfully completed and construction finished in May 2010.
